Jets Make A Trade For Ravens Safety Chuck Clark

The Jets strike with a trade on Thursday!
Not the trade everyone wants but this trade does indeed fill a big need for the Jets team.
The Jets are acquiring veteran safety Chuck Clark from the Ravens in exchange for late-round compensation in the NFL Draft, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Clark, 27, played in all 17 games for Baltimore last season, amassing 89 tackles and four pass deflections. Clark, a sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech in 2017, has missed two games in his six-year NFL career.
Clark played a total of 1,149 snaps in 2022 for the Ravens. Clark played 531 of those came at free safety, 408 coming in the box, 180 is the slot, and 30 on the boundary. There is nothing like a versatile player coming to play for the Jets.
New Jets safety Chuck Clark will have a $4.1M cap hit, which is not bad at all for a young, versatile starter in a secondary that is already strong.
The Jets seem like they will be aggressive but seems like they aren't close to being done.
