Real Test for the Jets This Week Against the Packers

The New York Jets are with high spirits as they have won back-to-back games and have a winning record for the first time since 2018.
Now, this week is going to be a real test for the young Jets as they go up against the hall of fame quarterback in Aaron Rodgers on the road. The Jets have won 8 out of 13 games between the two teams. However, the Packers have won each of the last three times these teams have met but this team does not seem dangerous at all right now as it lacks fire power on offense.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Jets open as 7.5-point underdogs against the Packers on Sunday.
With one of the best cornerback duos in the NFL, the Jets matchup well against a Packers team that lacks a lot of talent. The Packers’ running game is good, but if you have to choose between Aaron Rodgers torching you or the Packers running backs, you probably want to take your chances with the running backs in Aaron Jones and AJ Dillion. The Jets have a good matchup against this Packers offense. Also with the Jets defensive line waking up lately with Carl Lawson and Quinnen Williams stacking up good games, the Jets have a chance to get to Aaron Rodgers and possibly force turnovers.
If the Jets want to win this one, the Jets offense has to do a lot more in passing game. They got the run game going and Zach Wilson only had 21 passes out. They showed that they can run the ball with the duo of Breece Hall and Michael Carter but Wilson needs to throw the ball a lot more to win this game. The Jets need to emphasize what the scheme is and that is to get the play-action game going and with the run game going now, they could take some shots in this game.
The Jets offense has been unstoppable in the fourth quarter. The Jets have scored 58 points in the fourth quarter, the most in the NFL. Their 38-point differential in the fourth is second in the NFL. They are tied for first in the NFL with five fourth-quarter takeaways and second in total yards at 126.2 yards per game in the fourth quarter. However, the Jets have to play all four quarters in this one if they want to win this game.
Jets cornerback DJ Reed gave his thoughts about the matchup against the Packers. “It’s historic just going to Lambeau. That’s a place, a football atmosphere, the grass is going to be a little slippery. You’re going against a Hall of Fame quarterback in Aaron Rodgers. That excites me. I know it excites Sauce [Gardner]. I know it excites all the guys playing on defense and the team overall. We’re definitely looking forward to it.”
This game is definitely not going to be easy but a game that could be won by the Jets.
